FinStudio is a personal record-keeping tool. You add your own credit cards, installment plans, and leases by hand. FinStudio does not connect to your bank and does not import transactions.
What we collect
The only information FinStudio stores about you is:
- The email address you use to sign in.
- The accounts and details you enter yourself — names, institution names, balances, credit limits, APRs, payment amounts, due dates, term dates, whether the current cycle is marked paid, and any image you upload for an account.
- Timestamps for when a row was created or last updated, so the app can show accurate, current numbers.
FinStudio does not use third-party analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or marketing SDKs.
How we store it
Your data is stored in a managed Postgres database provided by Supabase. Access to your rows is enforced by database-level row-level security tied to your account, so other FinStudio users cannot read or change your data. Images you upload for an account are stored in a private Supabase storage bucket scoped to your user ID.
FinStudio is not zero-knowledge. Authorized operators of the underlying infrastructure (Supabase and our hosting provider) can technically access stored data — for example to restore a backup or debug an incident.
Signing in
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth using an email and password you choose. Your session is kept in your browser's local storage so you don't have to sign in on every visit. FinStudio does not currently support social sign-in.
No AI, no outside processing
FinStudio does not send your account details to any AI provider, and does not share them with any third party for analysis, enrichment, or model training. Everything you see in the app — totals, utilization, reminders — is calculated from your own rows.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not connect to your bank or import transactions.
- We do not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
Cookies and local storage
FinStudio does not set marketing or analytics cookies. Your Supabase authentication session is stored in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. If you clear your browser storage, you'll need to sign in again.
Your rights
You can erase everything you've entered at any time from Settings → Reset all my data, which deletes your accounts and uploaded images but keeps you signed up.
You can also permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete my account. That removes your sign-in record along with all of your data, and cannot be undone.
FinStudio does not currently offer a data export. If you want a copy of your data before deleting it, copy the values out of the app first.
Changes
If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the change date at the top.
